​Child's WellCare

-Well Child Care. 2 Month to 20 year old.
-Childhood immunizations. Flu Shots by appointments only.

-Parent Education and Information.​

-Dental Care, Fluoride treatment from 24-36 month old

-Screenings: Dental, hearing, lead, dietary-nutrition, diabetes, scoliosis, tuberculosis, and vision.

-Asthma Long Term Care & Control. Our office do not refill inhalers or other breathing medication without a doctor visit.

-Specialist Referral: In order for your child to be seen by Specialist, most insurances require a referral from your PCP. Insurance companies want patients to get referrals from Primary Care Doctors prior to seeing a specialist because specialist visits are more expensive. If your child requires a referral, our office will send it out on your behalf free of charge. Usually, mots specialist will contact you to schedule an appointment within two or three weeks, if you have not been contact within that time frame, please contact our office to better assist you. 

Child's Sick Care

-Walk-In Clinic Services,Currently by Appointment only due to COVID-19 current situation. All patients must pass the COVID-19 screening over the phone in order to be seen. Patients with exposure or direct contact with COVID-19 persons will be seen only if asymptomatic. Patients or parents who tested positive will be seen only if asymptomatic or negative retest results after 14 days of first test or 7-10 days after if second COVID-19 negative results. -Insect bites (Bugs and Insects). If your child got bitten by a dog, Please call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Radiology Imaging. If your child requires a Radiology imaging, our office will provide you with the order the same day. Please follow the instructions,  and we will contact you by phone to provide you with results and doctor's recommendations. If any medication is required due to the imaging results, we will immediately send it electronically to your pharmacy. Please if you do not received a phone from our office the same day, please contact us to better assist you. Some more complex Imaging requires a referral and a prior authorization from your Insurance, our office will process both and submit the referral on your behalf, our office will contact you with instructions on what to do next. If you have not received a phone call within 72 hours, please contact us to better assist you and provide you with updates. If your child condition worsened and requires immediate attention while waiting on Insurance approval, please contact our office or go to your nearest ER.

All Medications (Rx)will be send out electronically to your pharmacy of preference on file, If you have not been contacted by your pharmacy within two hours of you child's doctor's visit, please give us a call, so we can contact your pharmacy to inquiry about your child's medication. Some medications require a Prior Authorization by your Insurance, it could take up to 72 hours for Insurances to give us the approval. Sometimes, pharmacies do not carry your child's medication on their inventory, and they tell parents either medication was not received or its not covered, please contact our office within two hours of your child's doctor visit to better assist you.

-Influenza-Flu A & B Testing.
-RSV Testing.
-Urinalysis Testing. 
-Outside Lab Testing. Only if need it or ordered by our medical staff and depending on Insurance rules and coverage. Our office preferably works with Quest diagnostics. If your Insurance requires you to use another Lab, please inform our office, so we can provide you with the correct lab order for your child. If we do not have a test that your child requires listed below, please contact our office to better assist you. Complete full labs order is need it after your child is 7 year old. However, FASTING is required  before blood is draw on full lab orders, it means your child can not eat or drink anything except water past midnight. If, you choose not to let your child fast or not sure if your child eat something past midnight, please postpone your trip to the lab, since results will be abnormal, and must be repeated. Please, be conscious of State resources and do not cause another painful situation to your child.

Private Insurance Patients, our office will provide you with a written order, so you can contact your Insurance first regarding your coverage prior to your visit to the lab, your doctor's office is not responsiblefor bills you might received from Outside Labs Testing. Sometimes, patients  did not check with their insurances first and received a bill that range between $1000.00 and $2000.00, since it goes toward your Insurance deductible. It's your responsibility to know and understand your Insurance benefits and coverage.

Remember, We are your Primary Care Physician, Your doctor office is not an Urgent Care or Emergency Room. We will try to accommodate all sick patients during the day or next day, but our capacity is limited, we will fill out those appointments on first come first serve basis.

If your child is sick, and we can not see you the same, next day or on ours day off, and your child condition requires immediate attention that can not way for our next available appointment, you have options, go to your nearest ER or Urgent Care that accept your Insurance plan. Contact us if your child will need a follow up appointment recommended by ER or Urgent Care practitioner.

Remember to bring a copy of that visit report to your follow up to better assist you.

 Always remember the differences between ER and Urgent Care.

Urgent care: typically treats non-life threatening conditions.
Emergency Room (ER)treats conditions in need of immediate attention and life-threatening conditions.

If your child requires immediate attention or is under a life-threatening condition call 911 immediately or go to your nearest ER ASAP.

Be conscious with the use of State resources!!!. Avoid Unnecessary visits to the ER since the cost are excessively higher. Help to save State resources that can be use in other social, education or community  services. Call us, your doctor, or your Insurance 24 hours Nurse Line listed on our website or on the back of your Insurance card for advice or medical recommendations on when to use those services.

Services We DO NOT PROVIDE in our office

-Our office do not provide consultations over the phone or telemedicine services either your insurance covered or not.

-Our office does not refill or prescribe medications request without a doctor visit.

-Laceration Repair.

​-Newborn excessive vomiting, Newborn Screening, circumcision or any other newborn services.

-Urine Catheterization.

-Removal of Foreign Bodies.

-Fracture Care, Broken Bones and Splinting.

-Psychiatry conditions. Please contact your Psychiatry Specialist for appointments, follow ups or medication refills. 

If your child requires an immediate psychiatry assistance, Call Millwood Hospital @ 817-261-3121.

-IV Fluids.

​-Serious Burn (electrical, fire or acid burns). Call 911 or go to your nearest ER

-Cut bleeding that wont stop. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER

-Dehydration. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Seizures. Call 911 immediately or go to your nearest ER.

-Head Injury or concussion. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Shock. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Car accidents. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Sports Physical.

-Ingrown Toenail.

-Swallowed object with problems swallowing, battery, magnet. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Vomiting as a result of injury. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Severe Respiratory conditions/wheezing/pneumonia/croup with severe breathing. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Poisoning. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Nosebleed resulted from an injury to the face or nose. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-High Fever is child is younger than 2 months. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Fainting due to exercise or other activity. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Cast related problems. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Severe asthma attack with wheezing and trouble breathing. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Severe allergic reactions with respiratory distress or trouble breathing. Call 911 or go to your nearest ER.

-Skin Biopsy.
